Our Farm

Welcome To Bushbury Farms

We are a little Farming family out of Tuapeka Mouth, South Otago, New Zealand, We have decided to let the world see a bit of our lives and try to understand the running of a family farm.

We have 600 hectares of owned and Leased land and we run a Sheep, Beef and Dairy Grazing operation, This business has grown since my Husbands, Grandfather bought the original block in the late 1950's early 1960's.

Bill developed the land extensively and bought more land extending the original block of land. His son Ashley helped him in developing the land more and they used the capital of the home block to help Ashley's Brother buy a seperate farm under the family business. Ashley brought the farm out in the early 80's and He and wife Gail farmed here till the boys began their time of succession.

Nathan helped and worked off farm travelling and working in Farming operations overseas, Tony helped and worked around the local district for several farmers and contractors, When they decided it was time to all come home, The Family endeavoured on a separate entity to help them reach their goal of farming alone one day.

NM & TW Roy Contracting was born, The brothers along with their dad Worked the business and the family farm, This has allowed them to extend the original block of land to what we have today.

The Brothers are still owning the Contracting business just with Tony taking on the Running and operating of the Contracting Whilst Nathan is concentrating more on the farm side of the operation.

The entities have grown and over the years we have been privileged enough to have several local farmers help/work along side us with our businesses.
