This morning saw some quite cold wintery weather come through, Rain has fallen, Snow on the hills and Cows and crops to shift. With our usual struggles we started today with one staff member on leave for a much awaited trip to Germany, One staff member had a rough game of rugby at the weekend and has seen him having a couples of days to get his body back in order.

Today seen me come out of retirement (I Wish) and shift 6 mobs on crops today to help Farmer out, Not the ideal morning to wake up with chest pain and fluid but anyway the cows wait for no one or ailment.

We started the first mob just after 8 this morning, With the paddocks in pretty good order I walked down to the first mob to shift them, Happy to see you with a typical Moo the next thing you know it is a hurry up and move moo.

I shifted another on beet before I came to the first chow mob, Got to love Full fences and standards, Gosh if you don't motor they nearly trample you lol. The next mob was back to beet before helping Farmer with Gates.

Whilst he did the back mobs I did the front paddock with 2 mobs in it, Great walking but man alive really unfit and feeling like my chest was going to explode. After these mobs I pulled the pin on shifting the cold wind finally got to my lungs and I found myself struggling to breathe, Thank goodness for inhalers, I went home to cook lunch and left my poor Farmer to do the next mobs on his own, Thank goodness for his awesome brother Tractor driver who is on break fences at the moment.

Home for a nice hot meal to warm the inside of their bodies, They have gone out for the afternoon of shifting sheep gearing up for days ahead and Sheep weighing, Lambs going on wednesday.

Gosh will I look forward to the Spa tonight, I really need to work on my fitness and helping, poor team out there today I let them down terribly.

The cold looks set to be here for the next wee while so watch the paddocks get mucky, Nothing like getting winter conditions, We have been so lucky up until now with frosts but at least the sunshines after this, Let's hope the weather doesn't go to mad.

Wonder what tomorrow will bring?
